It’s hard to believe that we are already a few months into the growing season here at Hartville Migrant Ministry! June was filled with migrant registration, welcome bag dispersal, Head Start registration, TB tests, and clinic hours! July was filled with Monday night children’s programming, Wednesday evening Bible studies, Thursday evening Sports Night, and food giveaways to our migrant community.
August promises to be just as full with ministry, clinics, school supplies giveaway, and more!
If you’re interested in being a part of our summer programming, you can fill out a volunteer application here – we’d love to have you join us! Some of our immediate volunteer needs include:
- Library Volunteers – We need people passionate about literacy and kids to commit to opening our library on a weekly basis and helping us run our summer reading program. Library volunteers will need to be background checked.
- Property Maintenance Volunteers – Northeast Ohio has experienced a deluge of rain, which means our weeds are growing like..well, weeds. We need volunteers who are willing to periodically weed our flower beds and clean the gutters, helping us make sure the center looks professional and welcoming.
2019 has already been a busy and exciting season for Hartville Migrant Ministry, and we’d love to have you join us in serving our migrant community!
